1. Our Commitment
RentLaunch is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to information and services should be barrier-free, and we are actively working to improve the experience for everyone.
2. Standards We Follow
We design and build our platform to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). This includes meeting standards for:
- Perceivable — text alternatives for images, captions for video, adaptable layouts
- Operable — full keyboard navigation, no time limits on forms, clear focus indicators
- Understandable — readable text, predictable navigation, error identification
- Robust — works with assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard-only navigation)
3. Accessibility Features
The RentLaunch platform includes the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable via Tab/Shift+Tab and activated via Enter or Space.
- Focus indicators: Visible outline on all focused interactive elements (2px solid accent color).
- ARIA labels: Form inputs have associated labels; interactive components have proper ARIA roles and states.
- Skip links: "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Color contrast: All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Error summaries: Form validation failures announce errors and link to specific fields.
- Reduced motion: Animations and transitions respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Alt text: All images include descriptive alt text or are marked as decorative.
- Screen reader support: Content structure uses proper heading hierarchy (h1 → h2 → h3) and landmark regions.
4. Known Limitations
We are continuously improving our platform. Known areas where full accessibility has not yet been achieved include:
- Some third-party embedded maps (OpenStreetMap) may not be fully keyboard-navigable — we are evaluating accessible alternatives.
- Property photo galleries on some devices use swipe-based interactions — keyboard alternatives are available via arrow buttons.
We are actively working to resolve these and welcome your feedback.
